Geocontainers®

Product Description

Geocontainers^® are large fabric cells containing large quantities of dredged soil and dropped into the open water to form underwater berms, dikes or other earthen structures.
They are manufactured from high-strength geotextiles and assembled by means of a special seaming technique. They can be designed for hydraulic or mechanical filling equipment.
Because of their cost effectiveness, simplicity in placement and minimum impact on the environment Geocontainers^® have proven to be a very viable alternative to traditional techniques.

Installation Guidelines

Mirafi^® Geocontainers^® are constructed of high strength woven geosynthetics using special seaming techniques to contain available granular fill material. Sunk accurately into position by a split bottom barge, Mirafi^® Geocontainers^® are designed to provide a desirable alternative to rock or loose soil placement.
