Applications and Design Challenges Temporary silt fences perform a vital function for the construction industry. Because construction activity disturbs vegetation, topsoil is vulnerable to being washed away by rain. Without geotextile silt fences, sediment often ends up in streams, rivers and lakes, killing fish and other aquatic life. Geotextile Solutions and Benefits DX2 silt fence offerings provide economical environmental protection. Our silt fence fabrics are made from either woven or nonwoven polypropylene yarns which have been treated to resist degradation caused by exposure to sunlight. Many of our silt fence fabrics are preassembled with posts, draw tape and/or support backing to facilitate quick and easy installation. Our broad selection of silt fence products gives you the advantage of specifying the one that best suits your job and meets local regulatory requirements. |
